OEA Now Accepting Applications for Spring 2021 Study Abroad Ambassadors!
Are you a 49er that studied abroad in spring or spring break of 2020? If so, consider applying to the spring 2021 Virtual Study Abroad Ambassador program!
This is a great chance to connect with prospective study abroad students, to share your experience and encourage others to study abroad once it is safe to do so. You’ll receive training at the start of the program, and will then be expected to volunteer your time to on a monthly basis. The program is flexible, so you’ll be able to fit it around your class, work, and personal schedules. Most students spend a total of 5-10 hours per month on the program. Check out the Study Abroad Ambassador Program brochure for more information and to apply by February 15! Please note that is an unpaid volunteer position.
Even if you are a student whose study abroad program was interrupted due to the impact of the global pandemic, we still encourage you to consider applying! Although your time abroad was unexpectedly shortened, you likely still have lots of valuable experience and knowledge to share. Join this program to inspire others with your resiliency and ability to overcome challenges!
What will you do?
This position will be conducted virtually throughout the spring semester. Here are a few examples of how you can share your study abroad experience:
- Making pre-recorded videos about your experience
- Blog posts
- Social media takeovers
- Joining live webinars and panels
- And more!
